Arbor Day is celebrated worldwide, and not always on the same day.   This day, whenever it is celebrated, is especially important for our Village.

Carmel-by-the-Sea's Forest and Beach Commission, Carmel's Public Works host a celebration of the "Village in a Forest by the Sea", our home town.   Food, beverage, hands on kid activities, city vehicles that protect and take care of our trees were all a part of this annual gathering.

In 2021 - this event was hosted on October 23rd in Devendorf Park.  This year, our Barbara Livingston was honored with a new redwood tree planted and dedicated in her honor.   This day's promotional flyer is shown below - along with a quick slideshow of this great community event.
