Wednesday July 10th - CRA Hosts A Conversation with Mary Adams - our Monterey County District 5 Supervisor. This evening program is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 PM at the Carmel Woman's Club. Program details are available HERE.
This is especially timely as we look for Mary's insights relevant to all of our Carmel area regarding affordable Housing challenges and her ongoing regional work representing us throughout our County.

Highlighted items from Monday's City Council Meeting include: * A consent item to consider a pilot program July - October to add Saturdays to our regular Thursday Frarmers Market * Request approval of 3 large dollar contracts * Request approval for grandfathering only this single non-confirming Pacaso co-ownership * Request approval for a Main Library Architectural Request for Proposal * Consider Resolution to direct City staff to immediately begin working on identifying alternate sites and programs for affordable housing that would replace the City Owned sites of Vista Lobos and Sunset Center North & South lots currently in the site list of our 6th Cycle Housing Element. [This Resolution clarifies, aligns and prioritized efforts supporting this Housing Element revision goal as previoulsy expressed by our community and Council in the past months. CRA is contributing $5,000 to the Carmel Youth Center (CYC) and announced a match challenge - by engaging our great CRA Members in this $5,000 matching campaign. All of our dollars support the CYC in creating a safe haven for all of this next generation of our larger Carmel area citizens. Your donations will help support CYC's summer camp, after school programs, early learning programs, associated programs supplies, as well as providing assistance with building maintenance to accommodate these and future programs.
