Tuesday Feb 4th 4:30 Regular City Council in City Hall - HERE is the full Agenda Packet. Key items include: New City Employee Introductions, New Appointments to Planning Commission and Forest & Beach Commission, Professional Services agreements, License Plate Cameras (Flock) placement and recommended agreement update, Draft Agreement with Carmel Public Library Foundation Regarding Harrison Memorial Library Centennial Restoration project and others.
Thursday Feb 6th 5:30 CRA Hosts a Live Wildfire Preparedness Q&A with our Fire & Police Chiefs and City Department leaders at the Carmel Woman's Club. With the devastation in Southern California, this raises local concerns to know how our Village is prepared and preventing wildfire possibilities for all stakeholders - property owners, residents, businesses and the City teams. The format for this community session will be interactive Q&A with our Chief of Police - Paul Tomasi and Fire Chief - Andrew Miller. More session details available HERE.

Thursday Feb 27th 10AM - 3PM City Council Strategic Priorities Workshop. These workshops help guide and prioritize where the Village resouces of time and money are invested for the coming 2024/2025 Fiscal Year. Community input in this priority setting is highly encouraged. (location to be announced)

Donations for Los Angeles Area Wildfire & Recovery Efforts
Our hearts and prayers are with those impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. These Los Angeles Wildfire specific links Red Cross, World Central Kitchen and many other organizations are there helping provide relief and services in addition to all of the Civic and Goverment Teams.

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have devastated many, including some of our fellow CERT members in Altadena who have lost their homes. Carmel CERT, in partnership with the Altadena Rotary and Altadena CERT, is organizing a gift card drive and distribution to provide direct support to their community members.
How You Can Help:
Donate $50 gift cards from Target, Trader Joe's or ARCO Gas. If you choose to give more, please ensure the gift cards are in increments of $50. Please write the value amount on the gift card.
Please drop off gift cards to Carmel PD by Thursday, February 6th, or bring to our CRA Wildfire Preparedness Q&A session this same evening.
